I have said this before...there is a downside to everything!

I added another coat of Tamiya TS-26 Pure White to the roof and doors.  When this has had sufficient time to dry, I'll mask off the doors and roof and paint the fenders, hood, and trunk lid with Tamiya TS-14 Black.

More to come...

I have masked off the body and painted the hood, trunk lid, and fenders with Tamiya TS-14 Black.  Now for some wetsanding.

More to come...

I know you know this and it goes without saying which is why I will say it:  " DON'T go throught he black!"  lol

Are you saying, "Don't go through the black"?  I don't know what you are trying to say here.

At any rate, I don't particularly like painting with black paint.  Your body work has to be flawless!  Without any imperfections!  And, this black paint does have some flaws to it, so I will be wetsanding the Fury.

Thats the word: wetsanding. I have rarely wetsanded a vehicle and not gone through to the undercoat. I love how good a polished paint job looks but I sure have messed up a few.

Wetsanding have become a necessary evil.  It has to be done, so I'll be up to my elbows in soapy water and sandpaper.  I'm bound to burn through in a few places so a repaint is almost a given...at least for me.  Have I mentioned that I hate painting with black paint...

Yep, we had the show here in Oz.  Really impressive start, mrmike, I'll be following along.  Cheers

Always amused me that, week after week, they handled code three with no location given. Laugh
