1965 Impala SS Convertible

Finally, after 5 years of on and off (mostly off -- seems like a theme) work, I've finished the Revell 1965 Impala SS convertible. All in all, an excellent kit. No more than the usual amount of prepwork. She did get two different coats of paint. The color you see here is ScaleFinishes Artesian Turquoise enamel with the ScaleFinishes SuperGloss clearcoat. Is is perfect? No. Do I like it? Yes. Aftermarket redline tires, sparkplug wires, some photoetched badges and a photoreduced 1965 Maryland license plate (courtesy of Acme license plate maker) round out the project.
The complete album with reference and full size WIP and completed project photos is online here

That is a beautiful model. Though not factory stock, it does look great. I don't understand why it would take five years to complete one model though, I built the same kit in two weeks.
