1950 Ford Crestliner modelhaus resin

I picked up this old resin build from a local builder and thought I wasn't going to touch it. It sat in my display case for a little while.

I decided that I would fix up the chrome a bit, which led to pulling it apart a tad. As I did I noticed things were built a little less then stellar, there were all different types of glass, the paint was heavy, the interior was all wrong, and the fitment wasn't all that great.

I forgot to get an interior shot before I started repainting it but you get the idea of how blah it was.

After a bath in super clean it was ready for the royal treatment.

I was going to clear the resin and go with this yellow and black but I forgot that the hood was from the donor AMT 50 Convertible Crying

I'm sure you can see where I'm going with the colour.

I decided to go with all 4 windows open with the vent window closed the previous builder had all different types of glass which was one of the fitment issues, the other was the resin interior tub was flat across the top where if you look at the 50 convertible the interior actually slopes slighty to the rear.

It has become one of my flagship builds and I can't wait to show it.

Very nice. And the chrome trim redo, which started the whole process, is definitely better now. Nice work

Beautiful re-make . Green is my favoritre color .Question ,  is not the the '50 Hood Badge the same as a '53 Hood Badge ? It is a gem . Is the interior from a '50 Ragtp . The back seat is not the one I am working with . I have a 15 yr. WIP converting a '50 Ragtop to a '51 Victoria HT . Thanx ..

Thanks Dimaxion. yes the hood badges are the same. The interior for this car is also "model haus" resin it must have been a kit when it was bought. I did a custom 51 vicky a few years ago. Sadly because Photobucket decided to not have photo hosting I can't point you to a thread, all the pics are gone.
