Tried to sell or trade this kit off for a year, had to repaint the body twice and then built it in a week!

For a kit you didn't seem too interested in you sure did a good job on it. Funny how that can go.

Feelings are like scents: The more they are analyzed, the worse they smell.

Your build is excellent and brought back a lot of good memories for me. My uncle worked at the Buick plant in Flint and my dad was always a Buick man. Dad had a '62 just like this one but in what he called Baby-boy Blue with the same colored Light Blue interior. In the summer of 1967, in 90-degree heat, we drove that car to the top of Pikes Peak with the underdash air conditioner running full-tilt. That Buick wasn't even phased. My Dad starting counting the stalled and overheated Fords, Chevies and Plymouths on the way up, but got tired of it when he reached about 50 and had me count from there to the top! I think I gave up counting too, when I hit 70-something!

That was one of his all-time favorite cars and your build put a big smile on my face!

On the bench:  '63 Studebaker Avanti.
