Engine is looking great. 

May I ask how did you do the weathering?  The "grease" in the seems and on the parts looks really realistic.

I use testors enamel for the engine block then I apply a black  acrylic wash .

the body has been primed and masked. using testors enamels for unique 1956 two tone combo or at least try to.

If you could find a color that matched the tape on the sides of the body along with the white top & rear, you'd have an amazing combo! Wink

thanks guys painted the body with mm classic gloss white and testors metal flake purple 1st mists coats then two wet coats some drying time for clear coat . I tried to get as close to dusk plum that was on the 1956 color chip

You're really close with your color, just maybe a bit more burgundy than purple. My first car was a '56 Bel-Air in that color scheme, but I later changed it to '69 Plymouth code F-6 bright green metallic. It took me six months to get the paint after I decided to paint it that color because it was that long before the factory released the mix code to the manufacturers. That power steering option is super rare on the Del-Ray, it wasn't even that popular on the Bel-Air's. 

You're doing a super job, I'm going to keep track of this to see how it goes, keep up the good work.

There is more to the state north of San Francisco other than trees.
