Great looking model, I really like it,great color combo. Did the model come with the trunk details(tub, spare tire, etc), just wondering because the Revell VW didn't have any.

Thank you JohnDB!  Yes the Tamiya kit came with all of the trunk detail.  It was a fun model to put together.

Stunning!  That interior is lovely. The dash has me blown away. Fantastic detail

I read years ago that green cars are 'unlucky'  Also that red cars the same something to do wth red cars being harder to spot in twiglight conditions, could explaine why my Fiesta was written off at 5.45 pm mid winter  or it was the UTTER MORON that pulled out into a non existant gap therefore blocking my lane....Devil

Will build most anything, love American cars muscle etc.Britishvehicles are a buzz too, trucks are great - want to do a jet truck, building parts up...

G'day Roger.  You did a fine job on that great looking Beetle, the paintwork is stunning, the assembly is clean, and your dashboard is totally realistic.  What colour is that brilliant green?  Good stuff.  Cheers

Thank you Steve, I used Model Master pearl lime green enamel paint, then I used a mixture of gold and silver pearls by Pearl Ex, in the Model Master enamel clear coat as an overlay.

Gaston Chevrolet was killed in a Green Frontinac Powered Car . It was one week after this sme Car he was Driving won the Indianapolis 500 . Green with a Red Nose . The Merit / Aurora Indy Winner Series kits depicted this Car . Tha Box Art shows a blue car with a red nose .  Race Car Drivers avoided Green Cars until the '80's . Red Cars during the '40's through the '90's lead the way in Collisions . This satstic is found at Insurance Institurte Sites . I've not checked since the '90's . It would be interesting to look thisnup again .  Thanx ...

Great job Roger.  The dash is great, and the engine compartment looks really good too.  Nice clean work.  Not used to bugs in that color, but it does grow on you the more you look at it.  The paint has a transparent quality, like a Jolly Rancher.  Well done.Yes

Just keep picking away at it...
