I have HO also, but its about 2 3 x 3 ft boxes right now, and I have no idea when it will ever be set up, unless for my grandsons.
I also have quite a layout in OO scale that one day my son will get for himself and his sons. This layout is quite old, over 50 years now and has some pretty pricey rolling stock! To keep modelling and whenever I put the plastic to rest for a bit, I dig some cars or engines and weather them or modify them some how. Other times I'll build a structure from scratch just in case I ever do find the room to set it up!!

dawhitt, are they Lionel trains???? Wow, that would go great with my old AMT collection. Back in the 50's, every boy in America dreamed of having a O-scale layout and models right?

I grew up with HO scale (my dad). But I recently painted a mural around a friends O gage (Lionel) and have grown to appreciate that scale. They have some pretty incredibly detailed stuff for that scale, but you pay for it also. He has quite a collection. I will try to post some photos of it after he finishes his scenery. His layout takes up a room in his basement! It's got to be about 20'-0" by 10'-0"! The trains all run by remote control with thier own sounds! Here are some photos of it in it's current condition. The photos need to be lightened to see it better (I saved them to my computer so I could do it with photo editer). He has already remodled it once since I started. I only did the paint on the walls, everything is all him.
