Batman Returns- Batmobile and Batmissile [CBP] UPDATE 8-31.

Well, finally got pictures of it. Fresh from the batcave. Features flocked interior, grapling hook and cable, and the computer boards that came with the kit. Nice little kit. I felt it could have been better. I didn't like the machine guns, but I guess some aftermarket Military M2's could have worked. Maybe next time. Hope you all enjoy.

Holy Super Detail, Batman!

That looks great. Does Alfred get involved with an engine change?

you forgot somehting about the batman returns car
the car had a MUCH glossier finish the part one car was more of the matt black just look at the hot wheels 1/18 scale diecast thats the color for the part one car. and also all the details on the car that are silver are black on the returns car and the rims are all black with only the bat logo in the center silver, still looks good though Big Smile

Whats the difference between a regular guy and a car guy? a regular guy looks at a clock that says 4:54 and thinks "time to go home soon." a car guy will look at that same clock and think "big block motor."

after rewatching the batmobile scenes in returns i realized that the parts that are sliver are not black but more a really dark silver almost gunmetal color you can see the rear exhaust pipes on both sides of the rear afterburner being silver tinted. but the rims are still black i remember the batman returns car (or one of the stunt cars) being donated to a car museum and i saw pics of it in the daytime and the rims are definatly black with silver bat logos) and im pretty sure the end cap of the turbine is black to match the body instead of the dark gun metal color of the rest of the car. i personally like the way the car looked in returns over the first movie it looked i dont know more sinister with the less vissible silver detailing Sleepy

I wondered about that. I couldnt remmeber the Returns car. But I had considered giving it a semi-gloss sheen. This is easily fixed. time for a wax job, and some heavy black wash. :)

Update, I blacked out the areas to match the real car, and I shined the paint a bit [using of all things: Eagle One Tire Shine]. So here is the updated, and hopefully correct, Batmobile.

UPDATE. Got some new photos of the Batmobile in a better setting. Also, finished the Batmissile. I am quite happy with it. The finish and detailing came out great, IMO. Anyway, enjoy. The next movie model is Robocop Taurus.

Saweet, all that green in the background reminds me of humidity uggggh.
Loving that model.
BTW I spy one of those Brown State Poopers in the background. Can we see pics of that?

Policemodeler, Did you build those 1:64scale police cars and why do you display them in the case with the model you built???

If you mean the 3 smaller iowa cars, they are HO scale. And I built two of the 3 [the black one is stock] I actually changed the display recently, they now sit with the gold Iowa cruiser, the black Iowa van, and three Ankeny Iowa cruisers I just finished [2 1:24 and 1 N-scale]. And they will be joined shortly by a Cedar Falls Iowa car, and Iowa DOT car, and an ILEA car [Iowa Law Enforcement Academy].

I live in Iowa, so I display them all together.
