Making a kit
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 6:44 AM
Theres a lot of cars i like to build in scale that newer have been sold or maked by any modelcompany. I hawe a blueprints and some cutaway photos. I wonder if its possible to make all parts from scratch without any basic kit. I saw a plymouth gran fury from 1984 i think in 1:16 i think that had been made by a person. If somebody knows how you do this and which materials, tools you need and where you found them please tell me.

I realize that a lot of desireable cars are not kitted, but to scratch build a car in any scale requires time, material, money and most important the technical knowledge and skills. I would suggest starting out with a kit that somewhat resembles your goal and kit bash it from there.

Good luck.
