71-72 Grandprix
Posted by arcturus on Sunday, February 8, 2004 7:25 AM
Ive just bought a built 1/25 71-72 pontiac grandprix from a car show.Unfortunatly theres no box or instructions so I was hoping some one could tell me how old this kit is or which company made it. I think its AMT or MPC but I could be wrong. Its moulded in brown and has fairly wide plastic axles.

probably the MPC 72 grand prix annual, if its in good shape its fairly desirable. i havent seen too many lately.

I went to a "gentleman's club" because the sign said they had all the hottest models. I thought it was a hobby shop. Man, was I ever disappointed.

MPC made 1969 through 1972 GP model kits. '69 was #2169-200, '70 was #2170-200, '71was #7121-225, '72 was #7221-225.

Maybe you can cross-reference these numbers on Google.

thanks guys.My models in fairly good shape.Ive added my own side windows ,polished it and applied new bare metal foil. The chrome on the bumpers is a bit faint and theres a slight sinki mark in the front wing which I think is a manufacturers fault.
