Rommels Rod
Posted by crown r n 7 on Friday, February 15, 2019 2:53 PM

I started an easy build to get up to speed. The Rommels Rod the 1st time I built this kit was in 1969. Im building this one a little different. I removed all engine chrome and will be using Tamiya drk gray on the block.

mmthrax many thanks yea I thought this 50th anniversary build would get me going again. I started the weathering trying to make this diesel look old and worn.

Coming along nicely. You’re making quick work of this one. The single seat amuses me. He sits back there like a sultan.

Thank you my freind. i did start on those very flimsy figures. The driver is going to be tricky due  to hands on the steering wheel I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.

Looking good so far. I see you're building it the traditional armor way (preshading, etc)

Excellent. You really brought this old, simple kit to life. I am amazed at the detail painting, especially on the figures. The overall presentation is fantastic. Very well done!

Awesome paint work on this one Nick. Preshading those panel lines really helped bring this one to life.
