Dodge Ram Pick up search
Posted by sgtrurdz on Sunday, November 25, 2018 1:44 PM

I have been trying to find a 1/24 [ or 1/25 ] Dodge Ram kit to no avail. I even had trouble finding a list of current Amt,Revell,Monogram models , Period .Ideally ,a 3500 Dually. But I know that'sasking too much & at best I'll have to kit bash.I've seen diecast units but I'd prefer to build My own. Any leads will be appreciated. Thanks, keith r.

I have a sealed Dodge Ram VTS kit if you are interested in a trade.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

I do appreciate the offer,Rick. But unfortunately [ for me ] I am hoping to find a later model Dodge Ram.I did find a resin company called Scenes Unlimited that has dually & matching front rims & tires. So far that's the only success I've had.  Thanks , keithr.

Do a search on ebay and you should be able to find the promos AMT did many years ago. They did a 2500 and a 3500. Both are regular cab long beds. No engine or chassis detail. But, they're better than nothing.

Thanks Plowboy. While I looked a few days ago & didn't find anything, after your suggestion I looked again putting in your info.Sure enough there's an AMT snap-tite 3500 dually. Just what I wanted. Being a snap-tite it's curbside & prepainted, but that's fine. the only real negative is that they want $40 plus shipping. I'm gonna put an offer in & hope to get lucky, cuz $50 plus for a snap kit is kinda pricey. Thanks again, keithr

It won't hurt to put in an offer that you can live with. They usually go fairly cheap. Unless you HAVE TO HAVE one now, don't worry about it if they don't accept your offer. Kits on ebay are like subways. If you miss one, just wait and another will come along.
