Thanks aussiemuscle308. Yes various other problems, painting before putting the two halves of the body together, what do you use to hold it together whilst the glue sets? Tamiya masking tape, but still a few small marks so used a plastic polish on the paint and it worked too!

Can't shut the engine lid as one of the two turbos on the engine is too high although it touches the top of the engine. I also had to massage most of the engine components/pipes to fit the block and fit the body where it sits, also the exhausts were too short and the big exhaust ends sat inside the body, realistically it woud have gassed the occupants after about 20 minutes on the road, so had to extend the pipes or just put in the little covers on the rear body to cover over the exhaust exits altogether.

Both front and rear suspension/steering build ups kept falling apart after trying to mount the front wheels and the steering arm! I added various bits of plastic to beef it up!

Putting the roof/doors/windows together was far easier than I thought after finding this picture on google...

This picture is slightly different to mine as it just has hinge pins on the doors and attaching the console over the top holds the doors on, so.....

Put the front window in first then fit the doors and the overhead console to keep the doors on, then the door windows and fit the completed top to the body via the two pins and subsequent holes on the body. I didn't/couldn't stick the front screen to the body as it would have put a bend the top of the roof section where the doors hinge, so left the front screen sitting on top of the front edge of the body, above the dashboard.

Anyway battle on, but I must admit in 60+ years of building this was one of the worst I've come across.

Looks good. it's an interesting subject and i agree about the panel fitment. any other issues? i'm having a hell of a time building this kit. I started final assembly and damaged the paint, so am repainting it again.

Based on the car from the Man from Uncle series......

The driver's door and the engine lid don't close tight although the passenger door does. The engine lid touches a turbo although it touches the top of the engine.

The windows/doors/top installs  as one but went together far easier than I expected.
