Just 3 days, very old kit, sprayed the decals with gloss clear to keep them together, couldn't paint the bars over the cockpit windows due to shaky hands!

Patrick, very nice! I love the pre-war colors of the Navy birds.

Since I too suffer from similar shaky hands, I found that using colored pin stripe tape on canopys will work well sometimes. If it is not exactly what I want I just pull it off and try to align it again. I've also painted decal sheet and cut it into strips to lay over a canopy.

Still looks neat to me....

Nice work Patrick !   I too, enjoy aircraft models (my niche: Cold War era USAF aircaft).I am SO amazed with the work & patience, some moderlers have, with building WWI bi-planes !!...It's nice to "switch gears" for a time, between building model cars.Downside: SO many, tiny detail parts,in some kits ..LoL!! Thanks for posting !!    JohnZ

Thanks Joe. I bought a few old kits about 10 years ago and do one every so often. I think I have one left to do, perhaps next year!

When you do let me know. Perhaps we can do one over at FSM or something. You're really motivating me to tackle another Luftwaffe project.

PatrickW you can also use baremetal foil on the frame of it if natural metal is what you are going for. You can also use the foil as a thin mask over the Windows to paint the frames.
