lookin great Nigel , the tinfoil on the trim seems to work , what adhesive did you use , I may have a couple of ideas for this application ( one is a 1:24th café racer Honda CB 750 tank - I made it from 1in x 1/2 in. sq . balsa , the paint looks.... awful , so I'll cover it in tinfoil !! )

I use ordinary white glue,let it tack off then  apply the foil and  leave it several hours before cutting/trimming.I went for the dull  side of the foil to represet stainless steel.

Got the interior dusted up!

 

Just rub it onto some emery paper and go.

 

More weathering on the shell.

 

Fixed with a cheap hair spray - about 70p or $1.

 

And glass in.
