Simba fire truck 1/14 scale r/c
Posted by semijoe on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 1:43 PM

about a 1 1/2 ago i started building the chassis, its taking long than the last truck i did.   i bought the model.   started up scaling every part  to 1/14 scale. but a lot of the chassis is all aluminum with a plastic skin for detail . so far the chassis is really close to the real truck,  the engine bay i wanted to model after the panther,  so lets get loading pictures

start with the frame, i am using aluminum channel

pre-fitted the cross members to get the width i need, also mounted the airbags

for the axle i am using the tamiya  f350, but i need to make the axle through in through,  so i can modifying to do.  added the airbag brackets

pre-fitted the axles

made a suspension hanger, added a suspension arm and installed shocks

add aluminum knuckles, colored tie rod ends, added a tilt bar and steering linkage

Wow, Sir! This is shaping up to be an epic build! Even the chassis by itself, is suitable for it's own display case.
