Hawker Fury MK 1

This only took me about 20 yrs. A friend of mine bought it for me and I started it right away and then put it back in its box until this summer when I thought to myself that I really oughta finish that thing! So I mixed my own color, sprayed it and then used automotive pinstriping on it. I don't do planes but it sure felt good to get this done.

One good thing about the long time span was that I had learned how to paint things to look like wood using the methods other forum members have shared. I could never have done this without that forum sharing. The wire stays on the wings were a chore.

I googled the plane and it was made in the 30's by Britain and was the first plane to crack 200 mph. Its a very sleek design.

That is way cool. Nice job. I have done a few planes, but they didn't make it through my sons younger years.
