Mouse Rod ... to Fotki 7/23/17

It was difficult finding a category for this, but "Other" seems to fit. This was a build as a Post Apocalypse Zombi Hunter using an old computer mouse cover I had laying around. The wheels, chassis and engine were from an MPC Skorpion glue bomb I acquired with another purchase. This is a photo of the starting stuff ... the helicopter never got used ..

Most rod Start DSC 0610

The Browning M1719 machine gun was built from scratch and caused the most frustration but turned out looking good to me. The water cooling hose to the front was cut off as it kept breaking the gun mounting loose due to the stiffness of the used wire insulation.

The bomber seat and intake were built from sheet plastic and the modified scoop from the Skorpian.

Now that is a cool build. Very nice scratchin and weatherin. What made you look at the mouse cover and say hey that looks like a post apoc vehicle?

Its only plastic until you add imagination! CG63.

I originally saw it as a hot rod body and an Apocalypse build on another board got me to thinking this would be the perfect use. :)

THAT, is what I call a mad mouse! I love everything about this. The concept, the execution. I could see a fleet of Mad Mouse vehicles in a parody of Mad Max. The weathering and markings such as "slice/dice" are awesome little touches too. I'm not sure what goes on in your mind when it's quiet, late at night. But I'm sure I would have to decline hanging out with you, if only out of safety concerns. Well done mate!

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

On the bench... somewhere. Pink Panther show car, 1978 Dodge Magnum Charger Daytona Midnight edition SE 300. Mongrel T.

Thanks for the appreciation, this was a fun build. I always thought the mouse cover would make a cool hot rod and had it for years. Another forum Zombi build got me to do it.

And, late at night I listen to George Carlin and there's no telling what might happen! Huh?
