89 GMC Replica
Posted by BigStro on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 1:35 PM

A lot of people seem to like this Chevy Pick Up I put together this past winter. This is mine and my dad's 89 GMC Pick Up so I thought I should try and build a replica. The SS454 Chevy Pick Up is probly the closest I can get to matching it. But here it is hope you guys enjoy it.

Looks clean ! Very nice work !

Since it's a GMC with a 454 , you could call it "SP-1 454" , as that's what GMC called their hi-po versions ( "Special Performance" ? ) .

Hey thanks for the comment! But yeah your right i forgot about that! See the real truck has a supercharged 350 on it and I am thinking about taking the 454 out and putting a 350 in it.

Beautiful work on that!  If you're thinking about revisiting this, you may want to check out AMT's Snap-Tite C-3500.  It has the GMC grille and cowl induction scoop, and IIRC the parts swap between it and the SS454 is pretty straightforward:
