Do you remember these??

If so, I'm borrowing stewart's idea for get some new or even some of the old pickup kits we would like to see come back, and have no intentions of taking away from his thread, since his is for the pickup builders and not those of us who also build Heavy Commerical. I support him 100% in his effort and signed his the day after he started his thread. I feel that, like me, there are many of us who build a little of everything, and in many different scales. I bought my first and only Monogram 1/16 scale Kenworth Aerodyne in 89 or 90 and the Freuhauf flatbed to go with it a couple years later, but lost both in a house fire in 1997, along with the rest of my 200+ collection. Over the years, I have rebuilt most of the old collection and keep adding to it, but these are two noticeable gaps I have not been able to replace. I have seen quite a few on ebay, but there is no way I'm able to pay the $250-$500 I've seen them sell for. I've even seen junk parts kits sell in the $100-$200 range, and you can't even build them! I'm sure there must be a demand for these kits, and I'm planning on sending my email to Revell around the first of June or July. Please leave your first and last name if you wish to be included in the email! Thank you in advance for your support.

P.S.: I will also be asking for the Freuhauf trailer in the email. We need something for these trucks to haul!

I have two of the KW high rise sleepers, one Peterbilt and two Fruehauf trailers.  I always want one of the KW low rise sleepers but apparently they are the most rare.

I also have some rare 1/16th scale Colin Grey aftermarket that were recast as Jaymar items.  Not as good as the original but acceptable with clean up.

Ok, so would you like to see if Revell would reissue all three, including the flattop KW?? If so, please leave your name!

Is there any more interest in this? I have posted this on another forum as well, and there is much more interest there. In fact, it was thanks to a member there that I even remembered about this thread. Those of you who have arleady posted for your name to be included, thank you again. Those of you who would be interested in having your name included in the email to see these trucks possibly reissued, please include your first and last name in your post or PM me with your name. Thank you, Matt.

Count me in. I had the yellow 2500 Pete Conventional and wanted to get them all but I had to sell a bunch of kits to make my mortgage payment a few years back. I'm OK now and would like to replace the kit. Sure would be nice if Monogram re-issued these large scale truck kits. Patrick Mitchell

Thank you, Gary, and everyone else for the support. I have not yet sent the email to Revell, so if you wish to add your name to support possibly seeing these kits reissued, please do so. Please leave your full name in your post, and I will add it to the email. So far, between here and another model forum I have this posted at, there are about 45 names on the list as of now. I was planning on sending the email at the beginning of July, but I'm extending the date to add your name until Labor Day, Sept 6, 2010. I will then collect all the names from the postings on both sites and will send the email to Revell sometime later that week, sometime before Sept. 11, 2010. Thanks to everyone for their support!Smile

I would like to build the Pete as I still have 2 of the KW's built up. The instructions show a drawing of an R Mack pulling the flatbed, I wonder if that was once considered. Greg Waltz
