Nice! I love the old-school body meets new-school wheels. Thumbs Up I'd also like to know what color that is.

The color is a Datsun(Nissan) color from Duplicolor. I don know if his nr is in use longer but it is Datsun brown met.842 or DAT 01-382185. This is an old can i had laying around and finaly found a use for.

I'm just starting to build one for a club contest. Any tips or problems to look for in this kit? I'm still trying to decide on a final "look" but this helps.

Superb work! That paint colour and finish is very unique and looks great with those rims. I'm building a '65 at the moment in a Stepside. I hope I can get it half as good as this one!Bow

Just was wondering, who makes this kit. This is the truck my dad had when I was a kid. I have a lot of good memories of this truck.

Just like evanskyes, my Dad had one of these trucks. It was pretty close to this color, too. Who would have thought it would be a hot rod some day!

Thank you for the nice words.Smile

I lowered the car by moving the upper mounting point of the spindle, cut off the lower a-arm and re-attached it with a lower stance, and you have to angle the spindles outwards the get it attached to the upper mounting point. At the rear i just made some shorter springs out of wire.

As for the whell/tires it a set i got from fujimi som years ago
