1930 Ford AA Truck 1/25
Posted by Stinky on Thursday, March 12, 2020 3:42 AM

For 5-10 years I have been working on a 1930 Ford Model A truck.

I have used parts from different sources. If I remember correctly, the truck cab comes from Ron Cash, but right now I can't find this company's website. The truck's chassis comes from Shapeways.

Now I consider this project to be complete, but possibly I will replace the truck body with one with smaller dimensions.

Wow! Great looking old Ford. It certainly has the right period look. The tires and wheels are perfect, where did they come from? This is a very cool build, and well worth the wait. I agree with your comments about the truck body size. A touch narrower would look good, but its such a good looking box, it would be a shame to remove it. Anyway, nicely done!

That is one fine looking old truck.  You have captured the feel very well.  I also agree with the change of the box, it is a bit out of proportion to the overall build.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!

The rims and tires are purchased at the Ebay auction. The current truck body comes from Italeri Opel Blitz, but is there anyone who can suggest a smaller truck body that can fit better?

At first glance I thought the box was a little oversized. Then I thought of the era of this truck. Farmers, scrap haulers, etc. would build their own boxes to fit their needs. You nailed it. Let it be! Well done!

Truck looks great! I did a search at Shapeways but couldn't locate the chassis. Who is the seller, please? If you could post a link to the product, that would be great!

Thank you, and keep up the good work.

It is I who designed the truck chassis. But I haven't posted this as a product in the webshop:
