Ford Model TT Trucks
Posted by 68ImpSS on Monday, September 23, 2019 4:16 PM

Are any of the 1/24-1/25 Ford Model T truck kits an actual TT? Or just truck bodies on the car chassis? How about 1/35? (TT = 110" WB, heavier frame, and worm drive differential.)

Most builders look for a diecast to rob or clone for parts. For my 1927 Bluebird Bus No.1 I stretched the frame 23“ and scratched up a worm drive axle using bits of Evergreen rod, buy you don’t see much of it anyway, so I didn’t fuss with it much. Can you see it below?

What is it you’re planning to build?

Sorry, just got around to checking for replies - my 2019 was bad. Thanks for the reply!

I am planning on building a fire truck. I can scratch it, but I am little lazy and hoped someone else had already done the "work".Big Smile

Nice build on the Bluebird. The diff is not very visible when the modelis sitting on the shelf, but IPMS judges like to pick things up and look at the underside. That means I would have to make a believeable worm drive diff.
