"Emergency Yellow" paint
Posted by Wild Bill 426 on Thursday, July 11, 2019 8:08 AM

I am planning to build a fire truck in the near future, and I would like to paint it that obnoxious day-glo yellow that is used on fire engines, vests, shoes, dog collars, and pretty much everything else they can stick it on.  Can anyone tell me if someone makes a model paint in that color, and if so, which brand?  Thank you!!

It's a bit pale in comparison, but I wonder if Testors 1177 (Saturn Yellow, apparently now called Yellow Fluorescent) is close enough to what you're after.  I'm assuming, of course, that they still make that colour.  I have a small jar that is still waiting for the correct model to be used on.   To my eye, 1191 (Sunflower) seems a closer match, though I'm going by an online supplier's catalog, and haven't actually seen that colour in real life.
