This one began with a resin cab. The engine is a 6-71 Detroit from Clint Freeman.

Wow! Lots of scratchbuilding, I presume. Thumbs Up

Thanks!!

Lots of scratch building for sure: bed sides, boom, frame, cab mounts, breather, exhaust, and several things that I've forgotten were scratch built. Many parts from various kits re-purposed too.

That's what I figured. While I'm not a truck builder, I appreciate the work that goes into a build like this. My most treasured trophy is a "best of show" for a custom car that I entered in an IPMS event that included automotive, armor, aircraft, ships and sci-fi. I was stunned to win in such a setting. It's nice to have such efforts recognized and your builds are no exception. I think some of the guys in the forum are missing out by not stopping by categories that they may not build themselves.

Top notch work as always Brian. I especially like the 6-71 engine, very typical for that era yet seldomly seen in model building.

Well done sir.

I'll say! You definitely don't see one of those Dodge trucks every day. Great job Brian!

Another fine truck model from the Driptroit bench. Very nicely done. I love wreckers (as so many seem to do) and really dig the unusual subject matter. Top notch work as usual. I really like this build a lot.

Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
