First of all, love it! Second of all, when you have a second, could you message me a good picture of the headlights? Cheers!

My favorite color is clear. I am also ambidexterous, I can screw up equally well with either hand. I am 53 years old and been building for most of that time. :)

This should be a fun project.

I agree. Though every time I see "the queen" it reminds me of the game "Cooties".

Hmmmm;

 Now that you mention it . It kinda does remind one of a " Bug " from the " Cooties " game don't it ?

If I may make a suggestion? Dale is the kind of guy to buy a giant magnetic sign, or use adecal. He would not pay to paint a logo on his truck. Also, this is a cartoon vehicle and there's a hard definition line around the sign.

On this model, I suggest you forgo the usual custom decal and go with a label. Use a printable label sheet to print his truck sign on. This will give it an edge and the look of a banner of magnetic sign. As a by product, you can print the license plate on the same sheet. (Bonus!)

KOTH was one of the best shows I thought , and dale is my hero (obviously) so it was only fitting that I buiid the van ....

While I was painting the Shasta I went ahead and shot this as well. Toyota bright white basecoat . I need to find someone to make the file of the sign and plate so i can print them . My laptop took a crap , so any design work is out the window right now ...

Shoot  me an e-mail at spencer1984@yahoo.com, I can send you a file.  This build has been on my radar for a bit, too.

I just went to look up Boomhauer's car (I think it's a Coronet?). Turns out, he's a Texas Ranger!! Did they ever mention that on the show?

On the very last episode he throws his wallet on the dresser and it pops open and they show his Texas Ranger badge. It was never mentioned on the show before then

HOW did I not remember that? Last thing you'd've expected old mumbles to be. Van's looking good.

Turns out the clip has it's own YT vid. I think he was there to keep an eye on Dale.

I laminiated the signs with clear tape on both sides to add thickness and gloss of a magnetic sign , applied them with CA .

Looking good so far, but you know we're all waiting for the dead bug. Do you have a 3D printer to make it with? Just wondering what your plans are for making the bug.

I have no clue how to even begin 3D design work to make it .... so the master will be hand Fabbed from clay to make a mold and then I will slush cast a copy to keep the weight down . It's been coming along nicely in the background ....
