Stranger Things Hawkins Power and Light Van
Posted by spencer1984 on Tuesday, February 06, 2018 10:29 AM

This started as AMT's Chevy Rescue Van, updated to early-80s spec with a scracthbuilt grille (converted from a copy of an A-Team van grille), shaved trim, filled-in rear door, roof ribs, new rear bumper (formerly an MPC Blazer front bumper), and scratch built/parts box interior. Decals are custom bits I drew up, including the top sheet on the clipboard. Any comments/criticisms welcome!

That's a good looking van and a very nice conversion. The details are very cool,m such as the clipboard and the softdrink. Nice work on the decals, too. Very nicely done.

I assume this vehicle is a replica of a movie or TV car, though I'm afraid I am not familiar with it.

Lightness matters everywhere. - Colin Chapman

Great van ( Those nasty, nasty men....)

I wish they did a Winona Ryder model !! Angel

( I now HATE Sean Astin ... I'm a fan of the "dogs" .....*no Spoilers allowed*)

When I worked out I was also 10-12 in the early 80's , that means those kids would be 45/6/7 now Indifferent I mean , imagine Finn Wolfhard as a Grandad LOL

Thanks! I didn't love the way S2 ended, though I did like what they did with Astin the rest of the season...both he and Reiser were great at treading that line of "are they good guys or bad guys?" I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop
