FORD RANGER COUNTRY SQUIRE & BOAT & TRAILER
Posted by big-e-models on Saturday, November 25, 2017 12:14 PM

This is the Revell Ford Ranger built from the box with wood trim added to the side to match the wood boat .Its Painted Red Metallic as is the boat .The boat is a Dollar store toy that was drastically modified , the interior was replaced with an interior from a dollar store Jeep , including the windshield , the bow was clad with 2 types or real wood , stained and clear coated .

Wood was also added to the front deck and mid section for a more overall pleasing look !

Thanks for looking !

Turned out looking really good Big E!!  Details everywhere, lots of hours into that boat!

If you don't take a chance, you never had one to begin with.

Hmmm;

 Although I am a model boat/ship semi-purist I am going to give you a 9 point pass on the boat . Why? Well the heaviness on  the bow area has the proportions cockawacky .But , Other than that , An outstanding job of blending a toy and model into a pleasant and well done truck and boat combo !

Very nice, one thing, the full size Ford isn't a Ranger, its a F100. The Ranger was the small pickup.

I like it! Great use of a toy! Only thing I think that could make it more realistic is an actual boat trailer, but I'm sure you've got your eyes peeled already :) Great job! Rudy

In the late 60's and early 70's the Ranger was a version of the F-100 and early F-150. It was one step below the XLT, which could also be a Ranger XLT.  And this is a great combination build, even that boat trailer is a bit funky.

I build models because I can't afford the real thing!
