Buckaroo Banzai Jet Truck

This is a 3D print of the truck from "Buckaroo Banzai across the 8th Dimension"

the movie is typical B-movie rotten tomato, but kinda of fun and silly. He uses this truck briefly to travel to the 8th Dimension.

As you can see it's pretty rough, this is caused by the striations from the printing process. i've sanded it down heaps, but most of them are still visible. it was also mostly printed as one piece (plus the wings) so detailed painting skills were employed. it's hollow, so no interior detail, just painted the windows with gloss black.

Not really worth the very high price, but it's one i've wanted to add to my collection for decades.

Nicely done, and thanks for the review of the kit. I've had some parts pulled aside to do a partial scratchbuild of this, and when I saw the 3D kit I was torn: it was really pricey, but could save me a lot of work. It sounds like the amount of sanding required may negate any benefit

Nicely done, I watched the movie for the first time in thirty years this past summer. I saw it in theaters while in college. Thought it was eh back then, pretty ridiculous now. Lots of faces I now recognize that I didn't know back then.

Need a brain alien hanging off the side of the truck!

I've never heard of Buckaroo Banzaii but he sure drives a cool truck.

Nice build, Aussie, a bit odd looking though, and so is the movie trailer.  Mate, where do you find these?  I never heard of it before.  Cheers.

Some new pictures as work progresses. i've added the red stripe and fixed some of the details. Need to print some decals for the 'sponsor' stickers.

Hey Aussie, what's the best method to remove sprayed coffee from a monitor and a keyboard?  Cheers
