I'm building the Revell 1997 Ford Expedition SSV for a GB on FSM.  It's also a commision build.  It will be marked as a unit with the University of Dayton Rescue Squad.

here's the interior floor still wet from the MM Fabric gray

here it's dry....

the tailgate has been hit with primer grey

the interior side panels with a coat of primer grey

Here's the painted body.  It still needs a few coats of gloss.

Lookin' good so far. Just for giggles, why not raise the driver's side headrest up a little?

 ">

I did that on an '85 SVO

BTD, thanks for the kind words. Thanks for the suggestion, I never thought about doing that. I can't do it on the the Expedition as it has Captain's chairs, maybe I will on the Chevy Tahoe when I get to building it..

1997 Ford Expedition update: Well, I didn't like the look of the floor panel, so I grabbed one from an earlier release of the (non-SSV) Expedition.

I hit the console and rear panel with primer.  After that I masked them and shot the floor with Model Master fabric grey.  Once that was dry, I overcoated with Tamiya Panzer grey.

I painted the das in primer grey and semi-gloss black. I detailed the instrument cluster with a Derwent Studion "chinese white" pencil and a Sharpie red (ultra fine.)

I trying to decide on adding an older style MDT or a new laptop type computer.....Confused

Update: I managed to get the interior assembled. I put the back seat in to help with the cargo area dimensions. The front seats will go in once I decide on MDT or laptop and mounting....

I was confused about what exactly to put in the cargo area, then I remembered seeing a Tufbox in a command SUV on a neighboring FD.  I found a website that had decent pictures and gave the different dimensions. It will be painted once the glue's set.

The box will be painted flat black with a textured/fabric top. I didn't add the lock because it won't be visible thru the windows.

8/30 update: I've completed the Tufloc Tufbox and installed it in the cargo area. I decided to paint on the slam lock. I also added an axe holder on the left side. I blanked over the center console open storage and painted it flat black.

I decided on an MDT....

here's the MDT installed

Now that I've finally installed the MDT, I can get onto the EMS/rescue goodies that will be added to the cargo area and then adding the front seats and steering wheel.

Greetings all,

Here's the current state of the Revell 1997 Ford Expedition (UD EMS Chief's car)...

The interior is almost complete with the addition of TufBox & flat head axe mounted in cargo area, seats installed and the light controls, MDT and cellphone mount:

Here's some of the gear (rescue bullet, rope bag, short boards, fire helmet, gear bag and spine board) that will be in the vehicle:

The Vector lightbar w/arrowstik and A-pillar spotlight:

Hope you like the pics, constructive comments always welcome....
