Wanted: Datsun 620 Pickup
Posted by Rand0m on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 7:15 PM

Hey Guys. I am after a 1970's Datsun 620 Pickup. I have been obsessed with these things for years and currently have a 73 620 sitting in my garage as a project car at the moment. I have seen that MPC brought them out but haven't been able to find a relatively untouched one anywhere.

Any help would be much appreciated and if I have posted in the wrong place or there is somewhere better to be looking please let me know.

This is an example of what Im after

Not sure what year this one is, but Revell is re-releasing this one in July

Ive had a bit of a look on Ebay and there is one currently going but the seller wont ship internationally and Im in NZ. As for the 350 Chev, that would be epic but it would definitely be a squeeze.

Ive also seen the Revell one but thats a 720 model which is about 10 years newer than mine unfortunately.

I have that kit in a lot less pristine condition...

i could probably scrounge up the glass, motor and grill if someone tempted me enough. PM me if you want to negotiate...

If you scroll down, there is a "Where can I get" area. You're getting results here, but you might get more if you post in that area.

Its part of a mini truck collection im building.

I had a similar goal. I just got rid of a 'Desert Rat' on e-bay. I still have the Datsun pictured above, and one other built version of the 'desert rat'. I also managed to collect 2 LUV's (1 4x4, 1 2wd) both built, 3 Couriers (the mini-van and the 'super stones' & the 'Coors' versions) Coors version built, and the other two kits un-built in box, Two later model built Datsun 4x4's, one built Toyota Hylux, one custom built Chevy S-10, and one stock S-10 still sealed in cellophane (both first generation S-10).

I'm slowly getting rid of all of them now if anyone's interested. Drop me a PM.

I know I'm really late to the party but I just bought 2 1975 Datsun 620s from Hobby Lobby. Model Roundup might have some too.

Looks like you have lots of choices where to get that lil' pickup.  The April 2018 Scale Auto has a review of the forthcoming Round2 release of the '75 Datsun 620.

Yesterday at Hobby Lobby, 40% coupon in hand, I found the latest Datsun 620 from Round2 sitting there on the shelf.  I bought a 1/32 scale P-51B, my first 1/32 aircraft model.
