Sgtwg's mustangs inspired me to open my kit which i planned on being a pro street car at first. I decided a police car would be a better idea. Back when these car's first came out Florida Highway Patrol had the 2nd highest number of them behind CHP. I did a bit of research Here: http://www.sspmustang.org/restoration/Restoration%20Guide%20for%20FHP%20SSP%20Mustangs.htm#_Toc168645644
Finished interior: I detailed the kit radio stack and added a radar unit to the dash. I also added a rotator dash light since it was the 90's. FHP commonly added strobes to the rear deck so I put some in as well.
Nice job, luv the gumball on the dash! I'm suprised you didn't do a KSP version....I did a ride-along in one back in the day.
Question....what greys did you use on the radar display?
"Think of the fact that there's not one state in the 50 that has the death penalty for speeding...although I'm not so sure about Ohio." (The Cannonball Run)
KSP's version was too plain for me. Now their new chargers are sharp. Heres where we are now:
Decals are on & antenna's added.
Oh no, you did what I told you to do. Why?
Looks sweet, nice job.
Excellent looking build...................Slusher
IT TAKES A LIVING SAVIOR TO SAVE A DYING WORLD....
Most of the 90's Mustangs used by FHP used a JetSonic brand lightbar. A few had the Federal Signal Vector, which FHP still uses today on their cars that are not equipped with LED lightbars. Since adding the Vector, this model is done.
where's the pics?
which beige did you use?
My Bad did some cleaning up and accidently removed the pics. They are back up now. The colors are Krylon Satin almond & krylon gloss black.
Excellent build; very well done!
On the bench: MPC '67 Pontiac GTO, MPC '67 Dodge Charger fastback, AMT '69 GTX and a rebuild project of a '74 Corvette roadster.
That is very very good!
I love that car.
