This started as the AMT snapkit version. I painted the body and chassis with Sophisticated Finishes "rusting" solution.. Kinda dig that stuff...

I "flattened" the tires...

Tried my hand at weathering the wood...

Sprayed the windows with flat clear...

Gotta figure out what to do with the headlights and "dirty up" the tires... and then we'll wrap it up.

Excellent weathering. That is some rusty rust. Well done.

I wonder if tea staining would work on the headlights? Just a thought, never tried it.

~Perfect patina .

I personally would do a dent or three . And bullet holes . And rat poop . Might leave the scratch 'n' sniff part off though LOL

I just had a look at  Sophisticated Finishes site and had a giggle at a rusty cherrub .

Very cool looking truck KWT , wood bed is perfect btw .

I think you're on the right track! I'd do something to make the tires look old, dry, and dry-rotted though. They are a little too shiny..... Rusting looks great. Rudy

I like it ;

 I do have one critique if you don't mind though .The rust on the dash is to even .Remember those vehicles had pot metal chromed for interior trim . It aged differently .The grille around the radio and the rings around the instruments would've deteriorated to a funky Pitted grey/silver color .

 All in all , KWT , a very nice job for the first time .
