I think the engine that belongs in the 240 is the RB26DETT from a Skyline. Have the 240, Have the engine, Haven't the skill....yet.

Thanks, Andy, I'll check that out!!

H-E-M-I ?? You mean, the one and only 1000 pound, two foot wide valve cover hemi? Sounds better than what I was going to do to mine.

I was thinking about a Lamborghini V-12.

Ya gotta post picture when you're done!Big Smile

Revell Datsun 240Z wheels

Hey folks! Didn't know where to put this, but since the kit I'm writing about has some tuner parts in it, I put it here. Who here has built the Revell Datsun 240Z kit?

How many have discovered that the wheels are about way too wide for the tires included in the kit?

Or is it just me?

I have two of them, and both are the same. The tires just do not fit the wheels. I got them to on the first of the two, which I have completed, but it took a lot of work. It's like the wheels were made to fit a different tire, and Revell had to substitute at the last minute.

If this has been addressed in an earlier thread, I appologize. I'm relatively new here. Any suggestions short of complete aftermarket replacement?

ThanksBig Smile
