1959 Cadilliac hearse custom lowrider. finished 08-29
I picked up this Ecto-1 kit 55% off at Michaels so I’m not too upset to not build it as the movie car, plus it’s the GB2 car so whatever.

I decided that I would do a basic lowrider build with some focus on the interior as this is a curbside kit. I got the stance right and shaved and filled the roof. The tires and wheels are from the 65 Continental kit.

And what’s a Hearse without a casket. This I made with a cut down sleeper cab removed from another project.

With horns from a few 53 ford parts kits I had I made the handle brackets.

You may notice that the casket is a little oversized. That was on purpose like large anime eyes, to draw more attention to it.

For the colour I went with the standard semi-gloss black, but the roof, casket, and dash top are a prismatic jade.

After I had everything nicely painted I decided that the casket needed to be viewed from outside the hearse, so I ended up cutting out the back door and setting it on a hinge. I also created a slide out platform to display the casket.

Still working on interior details but that will follow with the completed build.
