Topless Renault 5 Turbo

Topless Renault 5 Turbo

This is a test of embedding photos from Flickr, as well as (I think) my first post here.

I built this open topped Renault 5 from the Heller 1:43rd kit. It's based upon the image it's posed beside, from a magazine I bought in France in 1984. Not perfect, but I'm rather proud of it.

Never seen or heard of it. But it looks cool. Good job.

When I read the title to this post I expected something perticulatly odd and ugly. I mean lets face it, the Renault 5 is a lot of things, but pretty isn't one of them. However, I am amazed at just how good this thing looks. The topless 5 really works. Very cool, thanks for posting.

I have a 1/24 Tamiya curbside kit of the R5 Turbo that I have been trying to decide what to do with. Hhmmm...

Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

Is there anyone in this community who can give a fast hand review for this car. Is seems to be quite amazing but yet I know nothing about it. Never seen any here at Columbia SC

It looks extremely funky. well done are you going to add the tunnels behind the seats as in the drawing because that would pretty up that area.

Your Renault 5 Turbo model looks awesome! Wish we had the ability to tow one of these bad boys.

Lol, I realize I'm a bit late to the party here, but man, that thing really does look pretty good, especially for a Renault! Hahaa, pleasantly surprised..

Oh, and to get off of the deep stuff lol, I have a strange addiction to tow truck models, but sports cars are nice too *insert nervous emoji here lol* Don't judge me...

Nice build.  The color really works too.

Great work.

Just keep picking away at it...
