Looks great, perfect stance. Must have been a lot of decal work, or are the panels painted?

Many thanks for a response! The model has caused big problems. This model of release of the 70th years. Decals were very fragile, in water were scattered on part. Therefore, partially it was necessary to paint panels.

Yeah i hate when the decal shatters when introduced to water. Have had to paint things myself when that happens. I take it this was one of those older kits that are simplified for an electric battery operated motor? Sure looks nice and as i mentioned, the stance is perfect.

Looks great! I had some of those back then, alonmg with three first-gen 1:1 Capris. Nice representation of the racers.

Any engine pics? I will be working on the 1981 IMSA Mustang race car, which is basically the Zakspeed Capri with the Mustang body. I would love to see how you detailed the engine.

I had one of these way back when they first came out. Single one piece body small interior no engine as these were made to have as said above an electric motor in the rear.

Well done martslay with the finish.

I also have built a number of older kits recently, and have had the collapsing decals, so now I spray the decal sheet with two coats (let dry in between) of auto clear laquer. It holds the decals together when using but you need the cut round the decal image as close as possible, before dipping in water.
