53 Studebaker/built for the drags
Posted by 59 Chevy Impala on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 10:32 AM

I'm building this as a drag car cause I've lost the interior tub.  I have no clue what happened to the tub.  I have started the scratch building of the interior using flat stock for the sides and I used the front part of a 58 Impala floor for the gas/clutch/brake pedals.  The roll cage is from the parts box.  The engins is a 348 from the 58 as well.  Well, here are some pics.  I hope ya like it.

I have painted it Olive drab since these pics.  This is the base color that I'm using for the Testors Lime Gold.  I also will be using gloss black on this car.  This is an experiment that I'm trying.  Thanks fer lookin.  Dan

Cool Stude. The 409 suits the car well.

Thanks Trevor.  It's actually the 348 from the 58 Impala kit though.  Dan
