A Heads-up for the front-engine-dragster guys!

Hey everybody,I figured Ide let a little cat out of the bag today, not that there are a ton of vintage drag fans on here, lol.Anyone who has ever purchased the old Revell parts-pack 'Mooneyes' dragster frame, and been a little miffed at the poor fit,and lack of mounting brackets, will love this one.The Revell (1997) re-issue of the 'Mickey Thompson Attempt 1'Land speed record car,is nothing more than an early model Dragmaster frame, with a swoopy body over it.The front axle is a little narrow, and the wheels are pretty off-the-wall,but the chassis is a work of art! All of the seat brackets, pedal mounts, and control brackets are already cast-in,and are fairly accurate.Ive used the Tony Nancy double kit from Revell to finish these things off, with great success. The best part is,the 'Attempt' kit is often overlooked on Ebay, and Ive bagged 4 complete unbuilt kits, with the most expensive being $6.99.The side panels have to be trimmed a little to replicate the 'Mooneyes' style body, but the top cowl-panel is a one piece unit. The body always fits like a glove on the chassis, and the chassis is usually straight, and without any tweak.I cant find the driver disk for my crappy digi-cam right now,but as soon as I can,Ill post some pics.Later-Lew.

Well normally,I would have just shrugged this off,but today is not one of those days I guess.FIRST,I never said anything about f-e-d's not being used anymore,in any way.SECOND,we are talking about a MODEL kit here, not the latest trend in popular drag racing cars.-Lew.
