Old school Challenger pro stocks.

I'm going to build the Motown Missile, I've got the decals. Did Dick Landy ever run a Challenger? Also anybody else you can think of.I'm doing a few S&M also(Cuda, 71,69 and a Duster, 66 Cuda built from a HUG body) They all seem to be Mopars. They just looked better. I'd like to do a couple of the grumps cars but there don't seem to be any real good kits of those. On final ? I've got the new issue of the Revell Challenger TA that is going to be my stock TA. I also have a Monogram that is molded in red. They seem to be the same kit???I still need a couple more. Got three Dusters one S&M one Calif Flash and one will be Mopar missile/ Don Carlton. I'm not sure. I've got so may Decal sheets. It will be quite a diorama when finished. I work slow. Oh it just keeps growing. ^& S&M GTX &) S&M superbird.when will it stop. MAKE IT STOP!!! at least I have direction.Big Smile

Man, THANKS!!!! great links. I remember those days. We would go to the drags every weekend. We would ride around the pit on our Schwinn Sting Ray Krate bikes.

One more ?. What Decals did you use for the calif flash. I had to strip mine because the white was a little pink because the red showed through????

Let's see, the slicks on the Vanke and Leal cars came out of my spare parts boxes, so I don't really know what kits they're from. The tires on the Motown Missle are from the JoHan, Sox & Martin Barracuda. As for the stance, The Vanke car has a modified stock AMT Duster chassis. The Leal car has the complete chassis from another JoHan Sox & Martin Barracuda under it. Same for the Motown Missle.

The decals on the Vanke and Motown Missle are from Slixx. The Butch Leal car uses Fred Cady decals. However, I didn't use the decals for the white panels, those are painted.

All very nice builds!!!! I got a pair of wrinkle wall resin slicks (med)I going to try and use them on one of my pro stocks.I went and made all my Duster wheel wells (rear) bigger in the stock style.Just finished painting my S&M GTX and have started the decals. The one that come with the kit are pretty good, I still ordered the slixx set not knowing what to expect with the kit decals. The slixx did not have the blue stripes for the hood and trunk????. Looks like my next will be the Motown missile now that I've got your reference picture. I keep at least three S&M Cuda around for different kits. Man you can't beat it. Classic kit!!!! I've got one more on the way. I ordered a few sets of slicks from the Johan web site back in Dec. and still haven't got them yet. I tried to call the # but it's out of service?????Anyway thanks for the pics. and info.

I think I'll start the Motown missile today. I have the frame already built up just waiting for a body. I'm painting it Matallic black.
