  • Keven Ellis from Badhabit motorsports lost his job so he is not producing decals nomore.www.modelexpress.com sells his decals.

  • Also, the Super Cuda was and is a Super Stock Cuda not a funny car.

  • Ah, but there was a Super Cuda Funny Car.

Larry Reyes and Larry Arnold drove it........Based here in Memphis.

  • This is the one I was looking for ...........

  • Thanks for the info ,guys. The bottom picture from hondo shows the decals that I am after. There was a built super cuda funny car like this on E-Bay a few weeks ago and the seller credited Bad Habit Motorsports with these decals.

Oops, my bad! I spoke out of turn. I completely forgot about this car and the fact that Keven did a set of these decals. Next time I will make sure that I have my facts straight before chiming in.
It's a shame that Bad Habit is out of business. He had many good, rare, hard to find subjects done up in decals. I was also helping him with some resin projects. Maybe he will regroup and be back at it somewhere down the road.

  • Do you know what type of printer he was using? I don't think it was an Alps and his quality didn't look like a short run screen printer.

  • No problem at all 1320Wayne. Smile

These older funny cars are treasured memories for me.
I really liked the "way it was" back then.............when the cars and drivers had
more persona about them.............(sorry John Force).

I do wish there were more of the decals available for some of the older
    funny cars.

    Those were the days............

His decals were done with a laser cut printer. I'm not sure what that means but he was not going to be in trouble like everyone with Alps printers.

  •  This thread has seemingly been long dead; but I'm new here. So anyway:      Kevin is a great guy!  He did decals for my Shirl Greer "Tension" Dodge project when I was really between a rock and a hard place! I was ready to decal my project, and there was none available. Keven stepped up BIGTIME with a great set of vinyl stick-on prototype decals and then a proper set of standard waterslide decals. Keven nailed all of the artwork and suppIied me with ACCURATE decals that I was badly in need of. I met Keven at NNL East quite a few years back which was where he gave me the decals in-person and we had a great conversation about old drag stuff.

I have bought a few things from Keven since then on ebay, but we have lost touch as of recently. I hope he is doing well. MCW now sells decals for Shirl Greer's "Tension" Dodge (LONG after Keven and I did the originals), but I don't care for the MCW resin or decals. The couple decals they do that I wanted to buy; they would not sell seperately; they required that I pay full price for the whole resin transkit even if all I wanted was the decals.  I can do the bodywork by myself; I don't need or even like their bodies. So they get ZERO $$$$$ from me. I have enough projects going to keep me busy 'till I'm 500yrs old. I don't NEED anything from MCW if they want to have that attitude.

  • Saw your post looking for decals for the SuperCuda F/C, looked down the list of other peoples replies & nobody had this, I remember seeing decals for this car & went & checked before I posted, Slixx carries decals to make Larry Reyes late 60's SuperCuda F/C, Part # 7113/SCFC2, it's on the 1st page of the funny car section.

  • Same here, love the older F/C's, as I posted about the SuperCuda decals, Slixx has a lot of decals for the older (60's-70's) F/C's. They have decals for Candies & Hughes cars(the red '68 cuda, blue '69 & the '70 &'71 cudas), Don Schumachers '70-'74 Stardust cars, Shirl Greers Chained Lighting Mustang 2 & quite a few others.
