Ferrari F50
Posted by Enzo_Man on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 1:09 AM
Hey all! I'm planning on getting a Tamiya Ferrari F50. I know I'm the Enzo Man but I'm really the Ferrari Man. Anyway, I want to know what to expect of it. Is there full engine detail and all the usual goodies. On a scale of 1 to 10 what is in in your opinion. I want to know what I'm in for. Thanks my buddies Big Smile

Enzo man, Me and my son built the Revell F-50 and it was pretty detailed we have looked over the Tamiya and they look about the same with the Tamiya just a little more detailed. We had a lot of fun building it so you should have a good time. Road racing cars of all types seems to be my favorite builds. I have several on the shelf waiting to go to the table. The Revell I would give it an 8. Have fun. KentApproveBig SmileSmile

Revell made an F50!? Wow. Is it still in production? An 8 on the Revell withthe Tamiya being a little better. Hmmm... I like the sound of that. Thanks Kent! Does anyone else have an opinion?

Dude, the 1/12 F50. I love that thing! I've seen it at my hobby shop for about 300 bucks. I would love to get it, but I don't have the space, or money for that matter, to get it. But I'm talking about the 1/24 plastic kit.

I built the tamiya kit and i was happy with it. It has full engine detail with an opening rear cowling and comes with carbon fiber decals for the engine bay. It also has the option for building the open top or coupe versions which i thought was really cool. The model went together easily as most tamiya models do but i found it hard to paint underneath the rear wing and the front vent openings.(I use the tamiya spray paints, It might be easier with an airbrush). I have also built the tamiya Enzo Ferrari and the 360 Spider and Modena and to me this kit was on the same level so i would give it a 10 out of 10.

I like those odds, Cold!! I'm definently gonna get one, if I can find one. I making a collection of Ferraris. So far the only ones I've been able to get is the Enzo (plenty of those), several 360 Spiders and Modenas, a Testarossa and a F40. All Tamiya and one Revell. Welcome to the Nuthouse Cold!
