I have and it is a great kit! There are a couple of parts that take a little time to get right but it it typical Tamiya. The fade decals for the color change included in the kit are a nice addition but you still have to make sure you get the mask within the first 1/8" of the correct location.
Also for a change in style etc.. Renaissance makes a couple of transkits for this model that are very nice.

I don't think Renaissance have a website, but you can get their products through Ed at http://www.islandcollectibles.net, or Jake at http://www.surfcitymodelcars.com
http://www.mediamixhobby.com.sg also carry a lot of Renaissnce items, but these guys are in Singapore.

Actually Renaissance has a website under construction. As a seller of their products I received the link a month or so ago. There has been no time frame given for the site to "go live" but it is an information only site. There will be no selling but it will incude a links page to retailers who sell their products.

This is a very similar concept to the way LeMans Miniatures has built their website.

Littlemoe,
I think you can find articles and or pics in some Japanese websites.I believe it was a JGTC race car so start there.
There's this: http://www.rapidcars.com/r390pics.html
