BMW Z8
Posted by Matthew Usher on Friday, November 07, 2003 2:39 PM
Hey guys!

I thought I'd contribute a shot of my Revell BMW Z8:

This is the model that's shown in the red "Scale Auto" bar across the top of the forum. I'd like to do a second one in silver as the 007 car.

Anybody else have model photos you'd like to share?

Cool deal Matt....Never would have known that was the same car thats in the red bar...really cool!
I dont have a dig cam yet...but have ton of 35mm pics which I will either have to break down and buy a scanner or camera.....or have them developed onto CD's but once I get a way I'll be posting plenty of pics....

BTW...great article on the Rattle can!

Well, as far as racecars go, I made this faux touring sedan from the Lindberg Chrysler Concorde kit. Took some decals and the wheels from the Revell Craftsman Truck Series Dodge and a few decals from the Tamiya Raybrig NSX. I took off the "basket handle" spoiler and filled the holes. The model was lowered and painted Model Master Dark Sea Blue (I think that's the color name).

Sorry for the poor photo quality – I'm still learning how to use my new digicam!

Here are a few I just recently finished for the final race of the Rolex Series.

These were given to the Brumos Teams by International Speedway Corp at the Daytona Race a couple of weekends ago. I painted and built the bodies and assembled the cars while a friend built the interiors.

is it just me or did BMW try to copy the Honda S2000?
Nice looking kits everyone. Those rolex series cars are very cool
Ron, now that he's got the gluing down, give him some paint and let him go!!
My son is just getting into car kits, he's built a few of the Gundam Robots and hopefully i'll get him hooked for life.(he's 7)

Eric

Nice Z8!!!!! I currently have on one the table and i painted it Tamiya Light Gunmetal...looks close to the color of yours. I have also removed the plastic in the middle of the rear section of the wheel to creat a more realistic see through wheel. Keep up the good work
