Posted by Anonymous on Friday, January 16, 2004 4:14 PM
Hi!!!!!!

My 5 year old son loves Bobby Labonte, not because he is a good honest driver, but because his carisgreen!!!andgreenis Zack's favorite color!!!

So for christmas he got this AMT #18 kit, and he wanted me to build it for him...

So, i'm going back to basics with this kit, nothing fancy, no AF parts no fancy painting, justbasicOOB......

So, to start off with, here is the engine...

I haven't ever built a NASCAR kit. Are the headers covered with some thing or are they box stock?

littlemoe..what kind of camera do you use. not only does the engine look great, the pics are excellent. im shopping for a camera right now.

I went to a "gentleman's club" because the sign said they had all the hottest models. I thought it was a hobby shop. Man, was I ever disappointed.

well, the camera is a FujiFilm A201 2.0 mega pixel camera. I bought it about 3 years ago. Unfortunatly, this cameras has no zoom, and no ISO adjustments. I too am looking to buy a new camera, but stay away from the the new Fuji's if you intent on doing alot of close up (macro) shoots, the fuji cameras use interloping to achieve their pictures, and in macro mode it can cause alot of distortion.....

I myself am looking at either a cannon or minolta, little bit more expensive but well worth it....

Thanks for the compliment!!!

BTW those pictures are at the camera's limits, it took about 7 or 8 pictures before i got a good clean shoot!!!

You can goto this website to look atall the different dig cameras, plus camera comparisons and reviews. They also havetutatorials and how to take pictures and a dictionary of all the terms used in digital photagraphy...

Hope this helps!!!

Hey Ron,

Looking good so far. I'm working on getting those plans out to you. everytime I go to mail the attachments, I get an error. Maybe I'm trying to send too many at once. I'll keep trying.

NO! Gordon or Johnson! All Stewart! Big Smile Just Kidding. Looks excellent. I myself am in the middle of 2 different Stewart cars. Havent really decided on the paint schemes yet Blush. So the Bernstein dragster will have to do for now.
Keep up the great work. One of these days I'll get a little more technologicaly adept and be able to show pictures of my work.Smile
