Completed Build: 1967 Dino 206 Competizione

This was a very fun build. Started out with the Fujimi kit, but chopped it up quite a lot. I opened up the lovely gullwing doors which meant basically reconstrucing the interior, and decided that I wanted to be able to open the engine cover, which meant scratchbuilding an engine from some old parts and some lego.

Lots of other after market details here - seatbelts, switches, tire markings, indicators and the entire contents of the engine bay of course.

The kit itself was nice, as it lended itself to this project. Left alone, and built out of the box, I would have to say it woudl have been pretty disappointing. Really not much detail at all.

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed building the car!

(also someone pointed out that i include too many photos in my posts. Maybe I do, but I'm proud of my work and the photography, so bear with me and thanks for checking it out)

with the doors open and some interior shots:

And finally with the engine cover open and some engine bay pictures

Beautiful build of a beautiful car. Nice work opening everything up. Very cool!
