Darrell Waltrip 1983 Pepsi Challenger

Although I've built some NASCAR models before, they are usually not my preferred build.  With that said, for the last year, I've had the "brown" touch with every drag model I've tried to build.  You name it, it's happened: paint issues, decals issues, I've dropped a nearly complete model, had two models inexplicably fall off my "waiting parts" shelf, etc.  As a result, my enjoyment level and desire to build had reached a low point.  I finally decided to just build a simple model and TRY to get something completed.  This AMT model is really little more than a snap kit, but it actually turned in to a decent shelf model, and more importantly, IT'S DONE and I had fun!!   Thanks for looking!!

Well done on getting through to a finished build. The Pepsi Challenger looks great. Sometimes these models seem to gang up on us, or perhaps it is just poor plantary alignment, but it can sometimes be a significant accomplishment just getting one across the finish line. This one is nicely built.

On to the next one...?

Congrats on the good finish sflam! I've had builds that gave me hell all the way to the finish line and sometimes it is nice just to get something completed alright. Looking forward to more.....
