Started on this one. I think they are cool looking and I've wanted to do one for a while, so here goes.

I had a lot of troble trying to foil this one. so I stripped the whole car and came up with a plan B.

I repained it, put the decals on hhen two coats of future. I masked the side trim off but did the other trim free hand with a Molotow pen. This worked out pretty good for me.

Very nice build Johnt.  I've got three of these kits and will be starting a build of the fleet.

One will be the Bonnar car, the other will be the Bob Ford car and the third will be a Jim "Bull" Durham build with the Wendle Ford Town (Spokane WA) livery.

Thanks for the insperation.

Hey JohnT,

Nice job of a very timely kit for me, I have the same Revell kit of the *** Brannon car waiting in the wings. I love the burgundy paint - what did you use? I have also not yet mastered foiling and have been masking/ painting trim using Alclad polished aluminum or chrome over black enamel. I tried masking/ airbrushing Molotow for trim on cars and found it very fragile even after a long cute time - be careful not to touch it!

I've really been obsessed lately with building 64-65 super stocks and have most of The Moebius 65 Plymouth kits as well as the 65 Comet. Hoping to build the Gas Ronda Thunderbolt as well as Hayden Proffitt's comet, both local hero's of my childhood Lion's Drag Strip days....

John
