Shoot me a PM. I have two Indy car kits I would like to sell or trade.

I think you've done a phenominally clean build with what was a less than ideal kit situation!  Kudos and I'm sure you learned alot doing so...

I've never found out exactly how many kits of this era there are. All I know is that everytime I go on ebay I see one I hadn't seen before.  LOTS!  is the only definite number I can come up with.Big Smile

Nice build. I got these vintage Indy cars still sealed thru a trade. I have yet to build a Indy car. Do you know how many are in this series?

Excellent job, Mike. Great job saving the decals. You would'nt even know it if you had'nt told us.

I always liked this livery, it has such a nice clean look. Great job getting the decals to work for you, I'd say it was worth the hassle when the result looks this sharp.

Man Mike...you did GREAT with this build..for sure. I also have a few of those kits in my (waaaay old build pile) and haven't got to one yet. Seeing how well you did on this one... makes me want to do it for sure.

Been a member since 2005. Had to reup after they made their change over in 2013

Not that you will ever see it but I had to scratch build one of the cylinder heads. This was a started but never finished build I got from a friend. What I like about this kit is how easy it is to glue the body together, fill the seam line on the nose and then assemble it pretty well per the instructions

26th Indy car in my collection

This is a thirty year old kit and the decals were brittle. Almost every one of them cracked when I put them on the car ( the Al Unser Jr. one on the right side broke into three pieces!) but miraculously I got all of them to join back together so well that one can hardly tell where they cracked. Fortunately the decals were compatible with my decal soft solution and all went well until the VERY LAST decal on the sidepod. I was applying a second coat of decal soft in my usual fashion and for some reason the brush pulled the lettering. This is not my best model build by any stretch but for a quick build to add to my collection it will do just fine. I wonder if I will ever get all of the Indy car kits out there built?
