O.K.  Miffed it is.  lol  I emailed Calvin and he said he will be doing more of the 2012/13 cars in the spring. I am going to consider this purchase of car and decals as a retirement gift to myself before August gets here.  In the meantime I have carefully gone through every decal package offered by Circle track and compared it to pics of the Indy car on the web. Its a complete change of mind for me in that there are some different graphics that have really caught my eye. I want the car car I build to pop when its in the cabinet. Can't wait to see your decals go down and find out how compatible they are to decal softening solutions, etc.  I am so stoked about getting this future build on the go.

Feelings are like scents: The more they are analyzed, the worse they smell.

Hey Mike...I'm glad your going to treat yourself to a Retirement Gift. Ya know it is deserved!!

I just started laying the decals down Yesterday. I sure like how these Decals make the car look!! As soon as they're all on and I get the Racing Harness made...I will shoot more pics to post.

I have both the Micro set( the Blue writing) and Micro sol ( the Red writing). I used that system yesterday and it worked Great. That was on mainly a flat surface. I also have the Walthers Solvaset(a little stronger) and I think I'm going to use that on the Stripes that go on the body and cowling. A lot of compound curves there. I did get two decal sheets for this build, so...I do have plenty of back-up stripes.

Have you checked out Open Wheel Racing forum? It's a darn good forum for F1, Indycars and all the other circle Track cars. It's a good place to get GREAT info and meet all the guys that we've been talking about. Here's the Link to that  site..  http://mb2501.proboards.com/  Go in and check it out..maybe join up and build more open wheel cars(if that possible...LOL)

It is FINISHED. It was a very interesting build to say the least. Finding reference pics for this build proved to be a little  challenging but as we know....that's part of the build. I would like to THANK Gary at CIRCLE TRACK DECALS for making the decal sheet for this very colorful paint scheme.....

Thanks folks for stopping in and commenting...

Absolutely Awesome , Gary. Paint, details, decals, all top notch. Your use of metallizers really enhanced the authenticity of the build. Watching from the beginning from the raw kit to the finished product really shows the true master you are. Looking forward to your next creation.

That really did turn out well. Nice work. I'll be looking to you for pointers when I get my resin kits.

Gary,  Beautiful model!  Thanks for sharing it.  If I understand your postings, you had the decals custom made making this a one-of-a-kind model.  Terrific!  That was an era in Indy car design where the drivers sat quite a ways forward in the cars.  They were braver than me!  Brooks Stover

Hey Hummer...thanks for the compliment. It is a ONE OFF build for sure. Doing the fab work on the body(getting the measurements close) was a huge challenge....especially with NO documentation on that car. So...had to go off of what little pics there were on the net.

Yes...I'm with you on how brave these drivers were back then. I saw a lot of people get mangled up in some heavy crashes. It's a whole lot safer now but....they're going a lot faster too!!! Go figure...huh?
